Who I am
Legal advice is given personally by me, Francisco Sánchez, abogado, a lawyer admitted to practise in Spain and registered with the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Sevilla (ICAS) under number 16.386. My professional title is abogado, granted in Spain, and I am subject to the Spanish professional rules, including the Estatuto General de la Abogacía Española and the Código Deontológico de la Abogacía Española.
I provide the services personally and invoice them in my own name. Contact: through the contact form.
Regulatory position in the UK
I am not a solicitor and I am not regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, the Law Society of Scotland or the Law Society of Northern Ireland. I advise only on Spanish law. I do not give advice on the law of any part of the United Kingdom and do not carry on any reserved legal activity there: I do not conduct litigation in the UK, undertake UK conveyancing or apply for grants of probate or confirmation. Where UK legal or tax advice is needed, a UK-qualified adviser should be consulted, and the Spanish work can be coordinated with them.
Details of the professional indemnity insurance covering the work, including the insurer and its territorial coverage, are set out in the engagement letter and are available on request.
No legal advice
The content of this website is general information about Spanish law and procedure, current at the date shown, and is not legal advice on any particular matter. The free initial assessment is a general recommendation of the service you may need, not advice on your case. Using this website or sending a message through the contact form does not create a lawyer–client relationship; that relationship begins only when you sign an engagement letter. Until then, please do not send confidential information.
Fees and your right to cancel
Fees are fixed in advance in the engagement letter. Any applicable taxes are confirmed in your written quote. If you engage me as a consumer, you have the right to cancel within 14 days of the day the engagement letter is signed, without giving a reason, by telling me so in writing. If you ask me to start work within the cancellation period, you will pay for the work done up to the time you cancel. If the work has been completed within the cancellation period at your express request, the right to cancel no longer applies.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with my service, please tell me through the contact form or by replying to any email from me. I will acknowledge your complaint within five business days and send a full reply within four weeks. If you are not satisfied with my reply, you can complain about professional conduct to the Ilustre Colegio de Abogados de Sevilla, and you remain free to take any other legal action available to you. As I am not authorised by a UK legal regulator, the Legal Ombudsman cannot consider complaints about my services.

Privacy policy
Who is responsible for your data
I, Francisco Sánchez, am responsible for the personal data collected through this website and in managing engagements. As your lawyer, I am also bound by Spanish professional secrecy for everything you tell me about your matter.
What I collect
When you use the contact form I collect your name, email address, where you live, preferred language, the matter you select and your message. For security, the server also records your IP address and the time of the request.
Why I use it
I use this information only to reply to your enquiry, to assess whether I can help and, if you instruct me, to open and manage your matter. The legal bases are the steps you ask me to take before entering into an engagement, the performance of the engagement, legal obligations, and a legitimate interest in keeping the service secure. I do not sell or rent personal information and I do not use it for advertising.
Who can see it
Your message is delivered by email to me. Hosting, email and security providers process data on my behalf. The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that the form is used by a person and processes technical data for that purpose under Cloudflare’s own privacy policy. If you accept analytics cookies, Google processes data about your visit as described under Cookies, on the basis of your consent. When your matter requires it, information is shared with Spanish notaries, registries, tax authorities, courts or translators.
Where it is processed
Your data is processed in the United Kingdom and in Spain, and some providers may process it in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards UK data protection law allows, such as adequacy regulations, including the UK extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or the international data transfer agreement or addendum.
How long I keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement are deleted within 12 months. Client files are kept for as long as professional and legal obligations require.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, or receive a copy in a portable format, by writing through the contact form. Please choose "Power of attorney, documents or another matter" and start your message with "Privacy request". I reply within one month. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
Cookies
This website does not use advertising cookies. With your consent, it uses Google Analytics 4 to measure how the website is used: pages visited, how you arrived, device and browser type, and an approximate location derived from your connection. Google Analytics sets cookies named _ga and _ga_<ID>, which last up to two years. They are set only if you click “Accept” in the cookie notice; if you reject them or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded. You can change your choice at any time through “Cookie settings” at the foot of every page; your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage. Google signals and advertising features are switched off. The data is processed by Google, and Google LLC is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and its UK extension.
The contact page loads Cloudflare Turnstile, which may use strictly necessary technical data to protect the form against abuse. The website uses your device’s own system fonts; no third-party font service is used.
To show a link to my website for clients in North America to visitors from the United States or Canada, the site asks Cloudflare, which serves this website, for the country associated with your connection. That country code is not stored or sent to me. If you close the notice, your browser’s local storage remembers that choice on your device only.
