Home / For UK law firms
For solicitors, will-writers and accountants
Your client has a flat in Spain, a Spanish bank account or a question of Spanish law. I handle the Spanish side, report to you and leave the client relationship with you.
What I handle for UK firms
- Estates with Spanish assets. The Spanish inheritance deed, tax returns and registration, or the sale of the Spanish property, alongside your administration of the UK estate.
- Statements of Spanish law. For example for the Probate Registry, a Scottish court or a foreign will that has to be proved in the UK.
- Written opinions. On Spanish succession, property, matrimonial property regimes or the recognition of UK judgments in Spain.
- Wills. A choice-of-law clause for your client’s UK will, or a coordinated Spanish will.
- Transactions. The Spanish side of a purchase or sale, including checks before a deposit is paid.
How we work together
We agree the scope, the fee and who is invoiced before work starts. Reports go to you, in English, at the stages we agree. I advise only on Spanish law and do not advise your client on UK law or tax. Details of my professional indemnity insurance are available on request.
